Welcome to The Gun Wiki, the internet's best source of information for all things firearm related. This site is a searchable encyclopedia of everything you need to know about firearms. Ammunition, handguns, sniper rifles, tanks, gun manufacturers, and nearly every other thing you want to know. The Gun Wiki is free of charge and includes over six thousand articles. This site also depends on you, the user, for content.
That's right, all of the information on this site is given freely, from contributors just like you, for the whole world to see. Simply ensure that the information you add is not copywritten and that it is accurate. Please keep articles free from opinion but feel free to add your opinions under the Discussion tab attached to each article. To learn how to start your own article, simply search for a topic that interests you on the left. If no page on that topic exists, simply pen your own!
If you want to write an article, first, click on the Log In/Create Username link on the top right of every page. It is free to create a profile and once you have done it, you can create your own article or add to any existing one! For more information, go to How To Make a Page in The Gun Wiki. Once a page is made, simply click on the "edit" tab on the top of the page and add your own info. For information on how to correctly write and format a page, visit Help:Contents or Help:Formatting.
Topics for articles may include:
Specific Firearms, Firearm Manufacturers, Firearm Legislation, Ammunition calibers, Ammunition Manufacturers, etc.
Appropriate content for specific firearm articles should include such categories as:
1. A Short Summary of Information on the Firearm
2. History of the Firearm
3. Design Details of the Firearm
4. Variants of the Firearm
5. Field Stripping Procedures for the Firearm and all of its Variants
6. References
7. Bibliography
8. External Links
An example of a good article is the one covering the Colt 1911.
